Changing the 8 hour download modification interval
We noticed when doing some DR tests that if a DP goes down a client would wait 8 hours until it switches to another DP which is silly.
This is due to the 'Download Modification Interval' being set to 8 hours, if you want to reduce this value you also need to reduce the 'Download Retry Interval' to the same or less.
I lazily just changed the microsoft provided script to set both to the same value.
We set ours to 120 seconds (so it pretty much changes after 4 minutes). We have fast reliable links and can't see a reason for any longer, if there are unreliable links you may want a different schedule as it may initiate a new bits download on interruption.
Clients will update this on next policy request.
